I was in San Diego last weekend at AAEP’s annual convention.  Unfortunately I was as the confrence most of the day, so the only pictures I took where on Tuesday when I snuck out early to walk on the beach.  Thanks to Jason and Steve I had a bed for free - if only I could have enjoyed the location more!  Koabi and I will have to go back sometime and just enjoy the city.

SCCA Races

November 10th, 2008 by KB

Eddie was kind enough to invite me out to watch him run his Porsche 944.  He runs in the SCCA Spec 944 class which raced along side with the RX7s for this round.  It was pretty surprising how evenly matched the two different cars were despite their significant differences.  Click on the image below to check out all the pics:

Doing some landscaping

October 14th, 2008 by KB

Sara got a bunch of plants to help put a little life in our barren yard.  I don’t know the exact count, but it is somewhere in the neighborhood of 50 plants which means a lot of work.  I believe they are all native to the Sonoran desert which generally means you want to be careful with them.  Here’s a sample of Sara’s handiwork followed by an example of remains unplanted.

New Garage Door!

October 2nd, 2008 by Sara

Today we finally got a new garage door - one that actually locks, shuts all the way and has automatic opening (novel idea, that).  Now we just need to find a place for all the stuff in the garage so we can actually park a car or two in there…

Ceiling Fans

October 2nd, 2008 by KB

Our new house has mysterious wiring. I’d bet less than half of the light switches actually seem to control something. This made hooking up the ceiling fans a bit more fun than I wanted. In the end, they both work. Now do we dare bump up the thermostat? Yes it is still hot in AZ.IMG_4147.JPGIMG_4150.JPG
